Once submitted, you should receive an email verification within 1 business day with your activation code and instructions on how to activate your MyChart account. We need some information from you in order to grant you a MyChart account. In order to not create a duplicate account, please review the following:
- Make sure you enter in your correct legal name, date of birth and the same email address you have on file at Inova or Valley Health.
- If you do have an existing account, the system will identify that an existing MyChart account exists and automatically pull in your MyChart username.
- You will be asked a series of questions from Experian to verify your identity. This does not affect your credit score.

Unable to Verify Your Identity
We are unable to verify your identity. If you are an existing Inova or Valley Health patient, please visit your doctor's office or hospital registration desk to verify your identity and obtain a MyChart Activation Code.
If you are attempting to create your Inova MyChart account and receive the message “Unable to verify your identity” this may be because you have locked your credit report with Experian or other agencies. If you have a credit freeze, first unfreeze your account at Experian's Security Freeze Center by completing the form. If you are still unable to sign-up, please send an email to MyChart Identity [MyChartIdentity@inova.org] with your phone number and best times to call and we will reach out between the hours of 8am and 8pm to get your account established.
